Meet Buddy, a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves a good hug!

Buddy is owned by Michelle T. who lives in the Lochwood neighborhood of East Dallas. Buddy loves playing with plastic bottles and cardboard boxes. He helps mash them down for the recycling. Buddy is scared of the family's 17-year-old cat, who hits poor Buddy. Even though he was a stray, Buddy quickly became a spoiled baby and now won't go out in the cold without his sweater on. Buddy loves to chase the neighbor dogs up the fence and chase cars that drive down the alley. But his favorite thing is hugs. LOTS of hugs.

Buddy was a stray that showed up living under Michelle's bushes last summer. She brought him in so animal control wouldn't pick him up. Michelle had no intention on keeping him but she could not find a rescue. "As soon as one called I realized he wasn't going anywhere. He had my heart," says Michelle. "My favorite name for him is Nuddy Buddy or Muddy Buddy if it has been raining." Buddy loves to snuggle and won't sleep without his blankie covering him up. If he can't get his whole body covered, he will just stick his nose in the blanket and he is content. Buddy loves to give hugs and then run right back out and play, play, play.

Congratulations to Buddy for being the DallasDogLife Dog of the Week!
