On rainy days, exercise your dog's brain by providing toys and puzzles that challenge his sense of smell. The olfactory sense is a dog's strongest sense and actively working that sense can be quite tiring for your pooch. Hide a yummy-smelling treat in a far corner of a room or behind a curtain and let your dog search for it. Increase the challenge by hiding the treat in a treat-dispensing ball.
