To dispose of expired or unused pet medications, mix unused tablets or liquids with an undesirable substance (like coffee grounds, kitty litter or sawdust) in a sealed can or plastic bag and place in the garbage. Do NOT flush them down the toilet, as it contributes to trace drug amounts in the water supply.
