To help control your dog's weight, avoid overfeeding by using a measuring scoop to accurately measure the amount of food that is recommended on the dog food packaging. If your dog doesn't finish his food, take his bowl away and give him a slightly smaller amount next time. If he's still hungry after eating his portion, talk to your vet about the appropriate amount of food for your dog.
