Have you ever noticed your dog scooting along the ground on his behind? Your dog is trying to "express" his anal glands. Usually dogs can take care of this themselves when eliminating their stools but if the problem does not solve itself within a few days, your dog will need some help. Simply take your pooch to the vet for a quick visit. Do not neglect this very simple procedure - anal sacs that are too full can rupture, which is VERY painful for your dog and SMELLY for you!
