Hello from DallasDogLife!
Is it September already? The year is just zooming by! It seems like I'm always starting our newsletter with, "It's been an exciting few weeks..." but it's true! Since our last newsletter, so much has happened in the DFW doggie community. First, our beloved pittie rescue from Houston, Edward the Exceptional, has been recuperating in a local veterinary hospital and even launched his own Facebook page! Edward has been released from the hospital and continues his recovery at his foster mom's house. Next, our extremely intelligent and wiley stray, Jack the Church Dog, was finally captured and removed from the church grounds where he had decided to take residence. We've had some not-so-good news too, with pets continuing to be euthanized by carbon monoxide gas at Garland Animal Services, even when rescue groups want to pull them out. However, Carrollton Animal Services lifted everyone's spirit with a note that said "Due to your awesome support, we do not have a [euthanasia] list this week! Thank you all so very much for all that you do to support the City of Carrollton Animal Services and Adoption Center." Stay diligent, everyone - every little contribution and act of support can mean the world to these precious animals.
