[NAME],
Hello from DallasDogLife!
I don't want to state the obvious, but I will. I can't help it. IT'S HOT. Dangerously hot. Dangerous for humans and dangerous for dogs who are left outside. I know not all dogs are indoor dogs, and I know outdoor dogs who come indoors can wreak havoc on carpets, furniture, and unsuspecting chotckes sent sailing by an excited dog's wagging tail. But the fact is, this weather has been upwards of 100 degrees for several days, and animals with permanent fur coats are susceptible to heat stroke, burns, and other dangers. Please bring your dogs inside for the hottest parts of the day, especially older dogs or brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds like Pugs, Bulldogs, or Pekingese. And of course, when outdoors with your dog, keep a few bottles of water handy - not only for drinking but to pour over him if he gets overheated.
On to this week's updates!
Featured Review - Bentley's Dog Wash & Fine Grooming Spa
BentleysDogWashSpa.com
Anyone who has bathed their own dog knows that it's not high on the "favorite chores" list. Even if your dog loves to take baths, it's still a hassle to get your beloved pooch in the tub - or *gasp* the sink! - lather up, rinse, and dry. You're very likely to need to change clothes afterward, not to mention clean up the water spills in your bathroom. Bentley's Dog Wash & Fine Grooming Spa is the solution for those of us who love our dogs, but not giving them their baths. This innovative facility provides dog owners a place where we can make a necessary chore as painless as possible...and if you have a dog like my Buster, who HATES baths, anything to make this process easier is worth checking out.

Tip of the Week: This never-ending heat wave means very hot sidewalks, especially in the middle of the day after the concrete has soaked up the sun's rays for several hours. Offer your pooch some relief with this week's tip, thanks to Fetch Pet Care of Northeast Dallas and traveldogbooks.com!
Last week's poll results: Is your dog scared of thunder and lightening storms?
- 37.7% said No, my dog doesn't mind storms at all.

Don't forget to vote in this week's poll - When walking, is your dog in front, back, or at your side? (I can't wait to see these results!)
