Hello from DallasDogLife!
It's been a full week of stories about dogs and the people (and other dogs) who love them. Earlier this week, the world lost a dedicated dog lover when Andrea Benua, a Fort Worth resident, tried to save two of her dogs who had fallen into an icy pond. (Her third dog, Gollum the Italian Greyhound, has been found and returned home.) A few days ago, I received a call from a friend who found a dog in her street who had been run over and killed. It was too late for the poor dog who had been hit, but two other dogs were also in the street and would not leave their fallen friend. Dallas Animal Services (DAS) came to pick up the body, but his companions are still roaming my friend's Oak Cliff neighborhood. She managed to capture a picture of one of the dog buddies while he was taking a nap on her porch...is there anyone who can adopt this dedicated canine before DAS returns to pick them up? If you can help, please email me at info@dallasdoglife.com.
