Hello from DallasDogLife!
The countdown to the end of the year has begun. I'm already seeing Christmas decorations in the stores, and it's not even Halloween yet! The DFW community is certainly making sure to include our pooches in the holiday festivities, as you can see from the number of Halloween-themed events happening over the next week. If you're looking for an opportunity to go out and socialize your dog, this is the perfect time! Check out one of the many events listed in the DallasDogLife Calendar and if you don't find something that fits into your schedule, keep checking - new events are being added daily.
Featured Review: PETS & THEIR PEOPLE Dog Training, LLC

It's one of the worst feelings in the world: combination of helplessness, fear, stress, and possibly panic - all while your pet is in pain. As much as we try to avoid thinking about it, most dog owners will find themselves in a situation where our pet is injured and needs medical help...quickly. The time that elapses while you're waiting to get your dog to the vet can be the longest minutes of your life, especially if you don't know what to do in the meantime. Luckily, there IS something you can do to prepare yourself for these situations. Melissa Knox of Pets and Their People Dog Training can give you the tools you need to help your dog when the unthinkable happens, such as being hit by a car, choking on a foreign object, or being poisoned. A few weeks ago, I took Melissa's "Pet First Aid and CPR" class and while I consider myself a bit of a dog expert, I quickly found out how much I needed to know to help my dogs in an emergency.
