Saturday, October 25 2008, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm by DBrit Hits : 329
Join us on October 25th for our Fourth Annual Barktoberfest at beautiful Frisco Commons Park - it will be an afternoon of fun for the whole family, including Fido!

Last year we had over 200 attendees and 30 sponsors/vendors selling their pet-related items and services.

You can enjoy:

* The Dog Walk Around the Lake - Registration required (available soon online)
* A Walk of Honor (a parade of Frisco Humane adopted dogs)
* Dog Contests, such as Best Costume - get those Halloween costumes ready!
* Take a chance on a Raffle
* Have your portrait painted by our favorite caricature painter, Ty Walls
* Low-cost Microchip Clinic
* Enjoy the well trained dogs in Canine Demonstrations
* Browse our Mall of donated items for sale - Bow Wow Buy It Now!

And this year, enjoy our food and drinks - cooked on site by our very own Chef Todd.

All proceeds from Barktoberfest will benefit the homeless animals rescued by Frisco Humane Society.

Dogs can get sunburned too, so be sure to apply sunscreen when your dog will be out in the sun for extended periods of time. Apply sunscreen to the tips of his ears, bridge of his nose, groin area, inside of the legs and the underbelly. Be sure to use a sunscreen that does NOT contain PABA or Zinc Ozide (which is harmful to dogs if ingested) or a brand made specifically for dogs.
