We are honored to have the culinary skills of Executive Chef Chris Ward of The Mercury Grill cooking for GALT!

Chris Ward’s culinary career began in 1979 at Arthur’s and Old Warsaw. In 1985, he was honored with the distinction of being the first American Chef to assume the Executive Chef position for the Pyramid Room and the Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas. Chef Ward spent five years in New England before returning to Dallas in 1998 to partner with Mico Rodriguez and his M Crowd/Restaurant Life Group. Together the dynamic duo formed Restaurant Life and introduced The Mercury Grill, Citizen, The Mercury at the Shops at Willow Bend, Paris Vendome and The Chop House in Fort Worth. All boutique and full service restaurants are located in Dallas/Fort Worth neighborhoods. In September of 2001, The James Beard House named Chris “Rising Star Chef”.The Dallas Morning News awarded Paris Vendome with the Number One restaurant of 2002. In January of 2002, Chris Ward’s “Restaurant Life” cookbook was published and can be purchased at culinary stores, Neiman Marcus and Sak’s Fifth Avenue. He has been a member of The National Pork Board since 2000 and The Dairy Council since 2004. Latest accolades – Best Chef in Dallas 2003 by D Magazine, and one of the finalist to be nominated for the Executive Chef position at The White House Spring 2005.
