Pooch Wedding in Lee Park Print
Thursday, June 18 2009, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm by admin Hits : 333

All dogs are invited to unite in “holy” muttrimony in Turtle Creek’s Lee Park in Dallas, Texas, Thursday, June 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It is the dog event of the season! Wüf Pet Resort & Spa (www.wufspa.com) and the Lee Park Conservancy invite all dogs and their owners to join them to celebrate a Canine Lifestyle Fair and Exposition and join their dogs in canine wedded bliss. The event features a dog wedding complete with an officiant, an aisle, wedding veils, flowers, dog wedding cake and of course, the traditional wedding march.

“Devoted dog owners are always looking for unique opportunities to celebrate and socialize with their pets,” said Jennifer Bassman, owner of Wüf Pet Resort & Spa. “We want to provide them with a fun, social atmosphere, while bringing attention to the Lee Park Conservancy.”

The evening will consist of wedding nuptials, opportunities for wedding portraits, music with a DJ, human treats and cocktails, and vendor booths. Vendors on hand for the event include: BoConcepts, Katy Trail Animal Hospital, Natura Pet Products, My Personal Valet and more.

“We know dog owners love their pets and want fun and exciting events to share and bond with them,” said Bassman. “Why not join your dogs in canine wedded bliss?”

All participants will receive wedding certificates and dog bones to exchange as a token of their affection for each other.

Dogs can get sunburned too, so be sure to apply sunscreen when your dog will be out in the sun for extended periods of time. Apply sunscreen to the tips of his ears, bridge of his nose, groin area, inside of the legs and the underbelly. Be sure to use a sunscreen that does NOT contain PABA or Zinc Ozide (which is harmful to dogs if ingested) or a brand made specifically for dogs.
